Mallorca’s pearl is precisely it’s capital – Palma. In this city, time seems to completely stop. And yet everything is somehow in the spirit of the present! An inexplicable contrast. That is the charm and beauty of this city.

The contrast of this city lies in the fact that Palma is synonymous with luxury, expensive villas, yachts, the best pastime, and at the same time a mirror of culture, a city full of beautiful historical sites and rich cultural heritage. Amazing, isn’t it?
We have heard or read hundreds of times that Rafael Nadal, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Paris Hilton, Michael Douglas and many others are staying here. So, big stars. This fact alone gives this beautiful city a touch of luxury. But that’s not the point. I will do my best to introduce you to the other side of town, the magical one that is really the reason to visit this beautiful city. More specifically, I will tell you how I experienced this city.
The old part of town is the first thing you must see. These beautiful houses that adorn Palma exude the charm and spirit of a past and beautiful time. The streets are small, narrow, and they all come out on top of each other, so you will seem to be able to wander endlessly to them. My advice to you is to deliberately get lost in them and enjoy the stroll and beauty of the old town.

If you have options, you can see the city from the carriage. The feeling is truly amazing and the experience unique. A chariot ride will complement your experience and bring you back to some beautiful, old times!
While walking through the streets of the old town, there are shops with souvenirs, gifts, as well as various boutiques, cafes and supermarkets on every corner. The restaurants are really wonderful. You can also treat yourself to beautiful ice creams at one of the many pastries.

Castell de Bellver | Belver Castle – This castle is a great landmark of this city, and be sure to visit it. It was built in the 14th century. The castle will give you an amazing view of Palma. It’s really worth going to him. You can get there by taxi, car, or on foot, but only if you are in good shape, since it is not very close. The castle is located about 3.5 km from Palma.
Catedral-Basílica de Santa María de Mallorca | La Seu Cathedral – This cathedral is a trademark of Palma. It is very easy to reach and the feeling is indescribable. It is not known if it is more beautiful to look at from afar or from afar. The cathedral was built in the 14th century and has not lost much of its beauty to this day. The entrance fee is 4€ per person and the cathedral is closed for tourists on Sundays and weekends.

Right in front of the cathedral is a beautiful fountain, which is about the size of a lake (really huge!). Beside and around you can walk, sit down to rest and enjoy the view of this magnificent building.

Plaza Mayor – This square represents the heart and soul of the old city of Palma! There are many interesting things about it: shopping malls, shops, restaurants, cafes, street vendors and similar attractions. This is a great place to take a break with some light lunch or some refreshments.
Some other interesting things that I would recommend you to visit if you find yourself in Palma:
🚂 Tren Soller – You can also visit the beautiful town Soller, by tren that goes from Palma to the port of Soller. On this occasion, you will also ride one of the oldest trams, and then ride through the beautiful landscapes of Mallorca, all the way to the beautiful Soller. This adventure will cost you €37 per person, and departure is from Palma, from the precisely marked station departing exclusively from this stroller.
🏰 Royal Palace of La Almudaina|The Royal Palace;
🦈 Palma Aquarium – It will be a real adventure for you and your little ones to visit this interesting place! Adult ticket costs about 20€, for children over 3 years about 16€, and for children up to 3 years the entrance is free. Prices must be checked before departure!
🚢 Port of Palma de Mallorca|Port of Palma – It will leave you breathless! Walk past the harbor and enjoy the view of beautiful Palma, as well as the beautiful luxury boats anchored here.
🛁 Baños arabes|Arab baths;
